Major Renovation Brings New Life to Angelo State’s Handball Courts

Angelo State University has officially reopened its handball courts following a major renovation project at the Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance. The $220,000 upgrade included new flooring, lighting, glass doors, refurbished walls and improvements to viewing areas and the building’s HVAC system. The project was funded by longtime handball supporter Doug Randolph and the Randolph Foundation for Higher Education. University officials say the improvements will allow Angelo State to host collegiate tournaments on campus for the first time in years. The newly renovated facility debuted with the inaugural Rams Handball Invitational, which is bringing competitors from Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma to San Angelo this weekend.
