Triple-Digit Heat and Storm Threat Keep Concho Valley Under Weather Alert

A stretch of dangerous heat is expected to continue across the Concho Valley throughout the week. The National Weather Service says highs in San Angelo are expected to remain above 100 degrees, with heat index values reaching as high as 108 degrees. A heat advisory was issued Monday for much of the region. Forecasters say a slight chance of thunderstorms could bring isolated severe weather Monday night, including strong winds and hail. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Overnight temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-70s to around 80 degrees.
