Traffic was backed up for miles Monday morning after a multi‑vehicle crash on the eastbound Houston Harte Expressway in San Angelo. Police issued an alert just after 8:15 a.m., warning drivers to avoid the stretch between Arden Road and Garfield Street. First responders were seen working a crash on the Arden Road overpass, and an ambulance left the scene with lights on. Several vehicles were loaded onto tow trucks as crews cleared the wreckage. Eastbound traffic was diverted at the Glenna Street exit while the scene was active. The roadway has since reopened, and no official word has been released on injuries or the cause.
