40-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash West of San Angelo-DPS Investigating Deadly Highway Incident

A 40-year-old San Angelo woman, Lindsey Amanda Cole, died after being struck by a truck in a pedestrian-versus-vehicle crash April 15 west of the city. The Texas Department of Public Safety says a 2011 Mack truck was traveling eastbound on R.M. 853 when Cole, for unknown reasons, crossed into its path while walking on the roadway. She was pronounced dead at Shannon Medical Center. The 33-year-old driver from San Angelo was not injured, and officials say weather and road conditions were clear at the time.
