200 Traffic Stops, 19 Arrests-Tom Green County Crackdown Targets Impaired Drivers

Tom Green County deputies made multiple arrests during a two-week impaired driver enforcement effort in March. The sheriff’s office says deputies conducted nearly 200 traffic stops as part of a statewide operation. Those stops led to 19 arrests on misdemeanor and felony warrants. Additional arrests were made for drug possession, drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of firearms by felons. Deputies also issued citations and hundreds of written warnings. Officials say the goal is to reduce crashes and improve safety on county roads.
