Head-On Crash Shuts Down Harris Avenue-One Hospitalized in Friday Wreck

One person was taken to the hospital after a crash closed Harris Avenue in San Angelo Friday afternoon. Police say the crash happened around 1:30 when a driver turning from Abe Street onto Harris turned too sharply and hit another vehicle head-on. The injured person was transported to Shannon Medical Center. Harris Avenue was temporarily shut down between Abe and Koenigheim streets. Traffic was redirected through nearby parking lots. The crash remains under investigation.
