San Angelo City Council will consider a nearly three‑million‑dollar project to remove vegetation and reshape parts of Lake Nasworthy. The proposal includes removing an island, restoring navigation channels, and stabilizing shorelines to improve water quality and recreation. City leaders say the work addresses years of sediment buildup and restricted water flow. If approved, Jones Lake Management would carry out the project using floating excavation equipment. Officials call it a major investment in one of the city’s most important recreational resources. The council meets Tuesday morning.
