San Angelo Honors Vietnam Veterans with Emotional Ceremony and “Passing of the Torch”

A 67-year-old Ballinger man, Agapito Sanchez Martinez, has died after a crash involving a tractor-truck on U.S. 67 in Irion County Thursday evening. Investigators say Martinez was driving a Chevrolet pickup when he veered off the road, overcorrected, and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Mack truck. Both vehicles caught fire following the impact. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 54-year-old truck driver from San Angelo was not injured.
