Governor Abbott Launches Texas Jobs Council to Tackle Workforce Shortages

Governor Greg Abbott announced the creation of the Texas Jobs Council, a new advisory group focused on strengthening workforce development. The council will work to better align training programs with industry needs and address shortages in skilled trades like construction and transportation. Leaders from business and labor organizations joined the effort, which is expected to produce recommendations ahead of the next legislative session.
