Hospice of San Angelo Seeks Volunteers to Support Patients and Families

Hospice of San Angelo says volunteers play a crucial role in providing comfort and companionship to patients and families across 15 counties, especially during end‑of‑life care. About 40 volunteers support everything from patient visits to caregiver relief, office work, bereavement support, and special programs. Staff say families often express gratitude for volunteers who sit with patients, build relationships, or simply offer company during difficult moments. Training is open to anyone with a heart for service — no medical background required — and the next volunteer session is March 23. Officials say the need for volunteers is growing as the number of patients increases.
