A San Angelo man is charged with aggravated assault after police say he pointed a handgun at his wife and threatened to kill her during a domestic dispute on South Garrett Street. Officers responded on March 10 and found the woman in her car, saying her husband, 28‑year‑old Jordan Bowser, had locked her out and then pointed a gun at her when she returned to gather belongings. Police detained Bowser and found a derringer on him, but the wife later produced the semi‑automatic handgun she says he used during the threat. Investigators reviewed videos Bowser recorded in which he referenced “castle law” and told his wife he had the right to protect himself. He declined to answer police questions after being read his rights.
