The City of San Angelo has committed up to $1.3 million to fund flood debris removal. To be eligible for potential reimbursement from FEMA, it’s essential for federally declared disaster guidelines to be followed by anyone utilizing the flood debris removal services. Republic Services is operating on its normal schedule and is not involved in storm debris collection. The City has contracted Ceres Environmental for flood debris removal. The process could take through mid-September, but properly sorting debris will help speed up collection.
