Madonna is heading into the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards with 11 nominations, the biggest total of her career at the annual ceremony. The nominations were announced ahead of this year’s show, placing the pop icon in several major categories.
Her nominations include Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration, along with recognition in technical categories. Taylor Swift follows with nine nominations, while Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter each earned seven.
The wider nominee list includes Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, LISA, BTS, Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean and RAYE. Artists are competing across major awards as well as categories dedicated to individual music genres and production achievements.
The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are scheduled for September 27 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony will bring together established stars and newer artists for one of the music industry’s major annual award shows.
