New Outdoor Amphitheater Near Completion in San Angelo-Concerts and Big Events Coming Soon

San Angelo is getting a new outdoor entertainment venue with the construction of an amphitheater at Concho Valley Dragway. Work on the project began late last year and organizers say it’s now in the final stages, with an opening targeted for late July. Dragway owner Mark Winger says the amphitheater will host a wide range of events beyond racing, including concerts and community gatherings. Texas State Bank has signed on as a major donor and will serve as the venue’s naming sponsor. Plans also include future expansions like covered seating and upgraded amenities. Winger says the goal is to bring more live entertainment to the Concho Valley.
