Burglary Nearly Cancels Prom-Community Rallies to Save Eden High School Dance

A burglary nearly derailed Eden High School’s prom after thieves stole equipment and decorations from the Roy Burnes Civic Center just hours before the event. Lt. Paul Pearson with the Concho County Sheriff’s Office says items like TVs, speakers, and lighting were taken, prompting concerns the dance might be canceled. However, community members quickly stepped in, donating and replacing more than $5,000 worth of supplies in just a few hours, allowing the prom to go on as planned. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
