The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo is headed to the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association announced the rodeo will be inducted in 2026 under the Rodeo Committee category. Officials say San Angelo has become one of the highest‑paying events in pro rodeo, drawing top cowboys and cowgirls from around the world. The rodeo began in the 1930s to support the community during the Great Depression and has grown into the city’s largest annual event. Executive Director Justin Jonas says the rodeo remains a major economic driver and a point of pride for San Angelo. The official induction ceremony will be held July 18 in Colorado Springs.
