San Angelo police have made their first arrest under a new Texas law banning child-like sex dolls. Officers say maintenance workers at an apartment discovered what they initially thought was a real child in a closet, prompting investigators to obtain a search warrant. The doll, described as anatomically correct and resembling a 4-year-old, led to charges against 31-year-old Joshua Alan Clark. The offense became illegal statewide on Sept. 1 under House Bill 1443, making this the department’s first case since the law took effect.
