A man wanted in connection to the 2024 death of a 4-month-old girl in Harris County was arrested in San Angelo on Saturday morning. Jeremy Fancher, 38, was booked on a murder warrant issued by Harris County. He is being held without bond. The arrest stems from the death of Brookelynn Fancher, who was found unresponsive inside a dresser drawer at a motel on May 26, 2024. The child was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Harris County medical examiner’s office said she was killed by suffocation. Fancher and the child’s mother, 20-year-old Destiny Campos, had reportedly been living at the motel for over a year. Following a year-long investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and CSI units, both parents were charged with murder. Campos was arrested on June 20 and booked into the Harris County Jail. Fancher was found in San Angelo the next day. Also arrested was Marilyn Jennifer Mork, identified as Fancher’s current girlfriend, on a charge of hindering apprehension. She was also booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
