The Wall Hawks are going to play for a state championship for the fourth time ever. After losing to Boyd in game two on Friday 9-3, Wall won the decisive game three over Boyd 6-2 in their state semifinal series. Wall will play Thrall on Thursday at 4pm in Round Rock for the state championship in 3A Division 2. Back on Saturday, Wall starting pitcher Reid Ballard hit a three-double in the first inning and on the mound, Ballard gave up just two runs in six innings to secure the win. Jacob Braden hit a two-run double in the first inning and Wall led 5-0 after the first. This will be fourth appearance in the state title game for the Hawks in the last eight years.
