The #7 Angelo State softball team split a doubleheader with the #1 team in the nation, West Texas A&M, on the final day of the regular season. The Rambelles beat WT 7-0 in game one but lost game two 6-2. It was just the second time all season that WT was shutout. ASU pitcher Cheyenne Floyd earned her 24th win of the season. The Rambelles finish the regular season with 43 wins and 11 losses and the Rambelles ended up third place in the Lone Star Conference. The #3 seed Rambelles will play #6 seed Eastern New Mexico in the LSC tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at 11am, hosted by West Texas A&M.
